Detailed description & notes

The quiz starts automatically.

It can be used as an intro before a show and gives the presenter a sense of the audience's prior knowledge.

The different questions are displayed in a random order for each show.

On the dome

The question and four different answers are displayed, only one of which is correct. After 30 seconds, players must have their answer logged into the controller. The number of players who have chosen the answer option appears behind it.

After 10 seconds the correct answer is displayed, it lights up green. The wrong answers light up red. In addition, a short hint or additional background knowledge about the question is displayed. Points are collected per correct answer, a highscore shows the leading player numbers on the dome.

There is a short break between the questions.

The run-through with 24 questions takes just under 20 minutes.

Quiz generator for individual questions

With our new quiz generator, custom questions (via JSON) can now be created for the Kinetarium Quizgalaxy:  www.quiz-kinetarium.halbautomaten.com

A button to the generator is also located in the Kinetarium client interface.

In order for the questions to be displayed in the game, the generated JSON files must be placed in the following directory:

<Kinetarium installation path>\Kinetarium_Data\StreamingAssets\Quiz\

A button to open the directory can also be found in the client interface.

Not only can you create your own questions, but the quiz can be thematically customized with your own background graphics.

By default, the dynamic 3D ISS background is displayed. Additionally, static graphics can be stored and used in the domemaster format as .png.

( <Kinetarium installation path>\Kinetarium_Data\StreamingAssets\Quiz\Background\ )

Both the backgrounds and the questions can be selected via dropdown in the user interface.

Controller
